Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at MedEvolve. As a key member of our RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient collections process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting Outstanding Patient Balances: You will be responsible for handling collections on unpaid patient account balances, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to resolve these accounts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Providing Excellent Customer Service: You will be the primary point of contact for patients with billing inquiries, providing clear and concise information to resolve their concerns.
  • Phone Triage and Return Calls: You will be responsible for triaging incoming calls and returning patient calls in a timely manner, ensuring that all patients receive the attention they need.
  • Following Client Protocols: You will be expected to follow established protocols for patient collection, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to resolve accounts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Staying Up-to-Date on Billing Procedures: You will be responsible for staying current on informational changes in billing and collection procedures, ensuring that you are always up-to-date on the latest requirements.
  • Meeting Performance Benchmarks: You will be expected to meet established benchmarks for patient collection volume, ensuring that our team is meeting its goals.
  • Communicating with Patients: You will be responsible for communicating with patients regarding outstanding collection issues, providing clear and concise information to resolve their concerns.
Requirements
  • 3-5 Years of Relevant Experience: You will have 3-5 years of experience in a customer service or medical billing role, with a strong understanding of billing and collection procedures.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to Multitask: You will be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing your work to meet deadlines and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: You will have a strong attention to detail, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and thoroughly.
  • Basic or Intermediate Computer Skills: You will have basic or intermediate computer skills, with the ability to navigate our software systems and perform tasks efficiently.
  • Confidentiality and Diplomacy: You will be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise diplomacy in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
