Job Summary

As an Assistant Director of Environmental Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of service is provided to our clients. You will be responsible for assisting the Director of Environmental Services in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and Review Standards: Develop and implement standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff in accordance with established policies and practices of the facility.
  • Work Scheduling and Staff Management: Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services are rendered to all areas.
  • Staff Selection and Development: Interview, select, hire, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility housekeeping personnel in accordance with facility standards.
  • Training and Supervision: Orient, train, develop, and supervise all Housekeeping staff.
  • Inspections and Evaluations: Perform regular inspections and evaluations of the facility, recommending action items as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination: Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities.
  • Project Management: Schedule major project work, ensuring adequate staff and supplies are available.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work history required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of all housekeeping procedures preferred. Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of health care housekeeping facility maintenance.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service. Excellent written and oral communication, listening, and empathy skills.
