Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Automation Engineer to join our team at Saxon Global. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of automated testing solutions.

You will serve as the primary authority and resource for all matters related to test automation, ensuring that our testing processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring team members on best practices of test automation and ensuring standards are maintained and continuously improved upon.
  • Staying abreast of the latest testing methodologies in the market and bringing back knowledge and insights to further strengthen our processes.
  • Influencing and driving the team towards best practices and habits that amplify code and product quality.
Experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 10+ years of experience as a test automation engineer working in large enterprises.
  • 5+ years of experience working on JS technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience working on Java technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience working on industry standard test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, etc.
Technical Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficient knowledge of testing principles, including unit testing, integration testing, and API testing.
  • Proficient use of GIT or other distributed version control systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of Java and JavaScript.
  • Good understanding of microservices-based architecture.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Selenium/Playwright, and JUnit or their equivalents.
  • Experience with API testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with static code analysis tools.
  • Comfortable using IntelliJ or similar IDEs.
