We are seeking a skilled HVAC Building Automation Specialist to join our team in the Secaucus, NJ area.

This role involves working with low-voltage electrical systems, constructing and commissioning building automation and security management systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in HVAC and building automation, with a strong understanding of project requirements, including specifications, standards, budgets, schedules, and safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting on-site service activities, including coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation and security management systems. They will also be expected to work independently or with other team members to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues on installed systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing software preventative maintenance on installed systems
  • Implementing software patches and updating antivirus solutions
  • Developing software code, graphics, and drivers for graphic front end and human-machine interface
  • Assisting with commissioning and startup of new systems
  • Streamlining and developing software code and graphics
  • Supporting 3rd party commissioning agents in the commissioning process
  • Supporting network troubleshooting and analysis
  • Initiating, managing, and communicating status for all field-related product support cases
  • Supporting Project Manager in scheduling, prioritization, and identifying obstacles for startup tasks

We are looking for a candidate with intermediate knowledge of HVAC and building automation, experience in installation of panel terminations based on submittals, and working knowledge of red-lining commissioning. A two-year degree or related work experience is required.
