Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students' speech and language development.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct preliminary screenings and assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Implement therapy plans developed by SLPs, which may involve individual or group sessions with students.
  • Observe and document students' progress during therapy sessions and report back to the SLP.
  • Assist in providing reinforcement activities and exercises that reinforce speech and language goals set by the SLP.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and routines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and strategies for supporting speech and language development at home.
  • Prepare and organize materials and equipment needed for therapy sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, as well as school district policies, related to the provision of speech-language services.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Washington State SLPA license.
  • Desire to work in pediatrics and make a positive impact.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
