Job Title: Director of Research Pharmacy Operations

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Research Pharmacy Operations to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Research Pharmacy, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Research Pharmacy, including financial administration, management of pharmaceutical services, and supervision of pharmacy technicians.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, standard operating procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and profitable operations of the Research Pharmacy.
  • Provide clinical/pharmaceutical expertise to research teams and other stakeholders in relation to investigational products and compounding.
  • Collaborate with other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to deliver and maintain high-quality, accurate, and efficient services related to operations of the Research Pharmacy.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, regulatory, and product preparation and dispensing requirements for investigational drug units.

Requirements:

  • PharmD degree
  • Licensure as a registered pharmacist in the State of Colorado
  • Two (2) years of experience in pharmacy operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and previous experience related to investigational drug products and investigational trials
  • Experience with compounding and clean room procedures
  • Experience with pharmacy business, including financial reporting and personnel management, preferred
  • Supervisory experience

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $130,000 - $160,000.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
