Miracapo Pizza Company is seeking a highly skilled Production Operations Manager to lead our production team in Elk Grove Village, IL. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of our high-quality frozen pizzas.
Key Responsibilities- Production Leadership: Facilitate daily start-up, routine production, and changeover processes for assigned lines, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
- Scheduling and Personnel Management: Schedule personnel, including training, call-outs, and temporary employees, to meet production demands and maintain a skilled workforce.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Coordinate reprocess, maintain records, and verify the accuracy of downtime worksheets, daily production reports, and production checklists to ensure quality and compliance.
- Inventory Management: Manage indirect material inventory levels to ensure availability for production, minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement corrective actions and continuous improvements to enhance processes, as instructed by management, to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, safety protocols, and company policies, promoting a safe working environment and minimizing risks.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with the Quality Control department, warehouse, and production team to resolve issues, implement new procedures, and prevent future problems.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
