Job Title: Sanitation Associate

At Overhill Farms, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Associate to join our team. As a Sanitation Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our employees and ensuring compliance with USDA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, floors, walls, tooling trays, and related items according to USDA regulations.
  • Mix, transport, and apply chemicals and other cleaners.
  • Move, stack, or relocate troughs, bins, trays, and other containers and equipment as necessary.
  • Disassemble equipment, foam, rinse, sanitize, and reassemble production lines for use.
  • Prepare approved chemical (with supervision) and transport to areas to be cleaned or sanitized.
  • Wash bins, totes, shovels, and other utensils for production use.
  • Clean and maintain all production areas according to USDA/SQF regulations and other areas supporting the operation as needed.
  • Use power equipment such as high-pressure hoses, vacuums, floor sweepers, scrubbers, and chemical foamers/sanitizer machines.
  • Replenish/refill soap, sanitizer, and towels in all production and non-production areas.
  • Collect and transport production waste to designated INEDIBLE area.
  • Use hand tools such as squeegees, brooms, and shovels.
  • Train on lockout tag out (LOTO).
  • Operate a forklift only if certified.
  • Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed with GMP compliance.
  • Reports potential issues to management.
  • Heavy lifting up to 50lbs.
