Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Sanitation Specialist to join our team at SpartanNash. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, as well as assisting with inventory management and other tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload products from trucks and break down pallets, organizing products for storage in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with sanitation duties, including cleaning the warehouse, emptying garbage, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Operate power industrial equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, to move products and equipment throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with inventory management, including checking product for damage, verifying accurate product and quantities received, and completing selection orders.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including rotating products, moving products to dock areas, and participating in warehouse projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Prior experience operating power industrial equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and interpreting order forms and selection labels.

Must frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls. Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
