Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at UnityPoint Health Waterloo Center for Pain Medicine. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Responsibilities
  • Perform quality diagnostic procedures, including general, surgical, portable, and tomography imaging, while ensuring patient safety and adhering to radiation protection standards.
  • Accurately identify patients, equipment, and procedures, and maintain accurate records in the computerized information system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure smooth patient care and procedure execution.
  • Assist in the administration of contrast media and other medications as required.
  • Maintain equipment and instruments in a clean and orderly state, adhering to safety and health regulations.
  • Direct patient flow and communicate effectively with nursing services to ensure timely and efficient radiology services.
  • Transport patients as needed and demonstrate a team attitude in assisting transportation staff.
  • Instruct and guide students in clinical and didactic aspects of radiologic technology, providing accurate and organized information.
Requirements
  • Holds Permit-to-Practice radiology in the state of Iowa.
  • Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the department.
