Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist-Cardiovascular to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a member of our interdisciplinary Cardiac Cath Lab team, you will contribute your professional knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of patients and families undergoing invasive cardiac procedures, providing appropriate teaching and making necessary referrals to provide continuity of care.
  • Assist the physician with the development of an individual plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and healthcare team.
  • Promptly complete documentation to ensure an accurate legal record of patient care.
  • Utilize a holistic approach to patient care, considering biopsychosocial, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria.
  • Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance Cardiovascular Tech practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic science program recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • One-two years of Radiology experience in the hospital environment preferred.
  • Holds Permit-to-Practice radiology in the state of Iowa.
  • Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
