Job Summary

**Accounting Professional Wanted**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team at Virtual, Inc. in Wakefield, MA. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Accounts Payable, including transaction processing, process improvement, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Transaction Processing**: Handle payments, banking, wire/ACH transfers, 1099s, annual reports, expense reimbursements, vendor setup, and accounts payable.
  • **Process Improvement**: Identify and drive improvements in accounting functions for efficiency and accuracy.
  • **Reporting**: Create reports for clients and management.
  • **Cross-Department Collaboration**: Ensure service excellence by working with other departments within SLAs and company policies.
  • **Data Tracking**: Track data via online banking and other accounts.
  • **Client Communication**: Communicate with clients, officers, and board members about approvals, banking needs, and legal/tax document reviews.
  • **Problem Solving**: Resolve account issues and perform reconciliations.
  • **Workflow Improvement**: Develop systems to improve workflow efficiency.
  • **Client Audits**: Participate in client audits with independent CPA firms.
  • **Import/Export Tools**: Utilize the department's import and export tools.
  • **Credit Card Program**: Administer the client corporate credit card program, tracking cards and activity.
  • **Delegation and Training**: Manage tasks and train temps/interns on QuickBooks, online banking, and spreadsheets.
Requirements
  • **3-5 years in accounting (AP, AR, GL, Payroll)**
  • **Degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent work experience preferred**
  • **Intermediate QuickBooks Pro/Enterprise (certification a plus); highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Office**
  • **Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and audit support**
  • **Understanding of balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements, and their relation to accounting transactions**
  • **Familiar with online banking, time/billing systems, SharePoint, membership management**
  • **Experience with data import tools, process improvement, and automation**
  • **Strong verbal and written communication skills**
  • **Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment**
  • **Must be a dedicated team player, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision**
  • **Ability to change priorities as business needs evolve**
  • **Requires direct interaction with client executives; customer service experience is a plus**
  • **Strong analytical and problem-solving skills**
  • **Possesses a sense of urgency and pride in work**
