  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and security protocols, prioritizing the safety of inmates and staff.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and assist in managing chronic conditions, providing timely and effective care.
  • Coordinate with external healthcare providers and services as needed, ensuring seamless and efficient care.
  • Participate in facility health education programs and inmate health screenings, promoting health and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a correctional or similar setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging and potentially volatile situations with professionalism.
  • Understanding of and adherence to security procedures and confidentiality requirements.
