About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Attendant to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Irvine, California.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, performing various patient care functions as assigned. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care services, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and documenting patient information.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, contributing to process enhancements and quality initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring open lines of communication and resolving issues promptly.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.
- Current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
- State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in response to patient needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish speaking skills (dependent on position requirements).
- Flexibility to float to other areas within your scope of competency.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and computer systems.

- A competitive salary range of $42,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience.
