Financial Director

Jet Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to lead our US regional operations. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing projects, and providing expert guidance on tax-related matters.

• Lead strategic initiatives and projects impacting the finance department
• Provide expert guidance on tax-related matters and work closely with the General Dynamics tax department
• Manage the supervision and direction of department staff, including setting strategic goals and ensuring team alignment with organizational objectives
• Organize meetings with stakeholders and prepare regular project summaries and updates
• Work closely with Group Finance to document and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Manage the implementation of accounting standards with team members in the US region
• Prepare white papers to address complex accounting questions
• Participate in the review of new and amended leases to apply proper accounting treatment
• Work with GD Tax to implement tax policy and procedures in the US region
• Prepare tax reporting to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes
• Oversee the preparation of various tax roll-forward schedules
• Support all US region business units with entity-specific tax and compliance inquiries

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of corporate accounting and/or finance experience
• Proven background in tax advisory and compliance services with a Big 4 consulting environment
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, timeline management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong command of Excel, including advanced functions, data analysis, pivot tables, and financial modeling

• Autonomous, well-organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
• Able to work under pressure and multitask, ensuring results are of the highest quality and accuracy
• Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
• Familiar with aviation terminologies and flight systems
• Experience overseeing the preparation of financial reports
• Intuitive and able to think outside the box to provide feedback and suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies

The work environment is dynamic, with a moderate noise level and occasional high volume when aircraft arrive or depart. The employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions and be exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace.
