Financial Director

Jet Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our US regional operations. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading strategic and project-oriented initiatives, providing financial guidance and support to our business units, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

• Lead and support global and regional projects impacting the finance department
• Provide strategic support to US region by working with Finance VP, lines of business VPs, and US SVP to evaluate business growth/expansion opportunities
• Prepare business cases in support of future business initiatives in the US region
• Responsible for the supervision and direction of department staff, including setting strategic goals, providing mentorship and coaching, fostering professional development, and ensuring team alignment with organizational objectives
• Work closely with Group Finance to document and maintain accounting policies & procedures and participate in development of future changes
• Manage implementation of accounting standards with team members in US region
• Prepare white papers as needed to address complex accounting questions
• Participate in review of new and amended leases to apply proper accounting treatment
• Work with GD Tax department to implement tax policy and procedures in US region
• Work with GD tax to prepare quarterly tax forecasts and annual cash tax budget
• Prepare tax reporting to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes
• Oversee the preparation of various tax roll-forward schedules
• Support all US region business units with entity specific tax & compliance inquiries
• Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of corporate accounting and/or finance experience
• Proven background in tax advisory and compliance services with a Big 4 consulting environment, with a strong understanding of corporate tax regulations, strategic tax planning and client engagement
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, timeline management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Able to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective follow-up on assigned tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong command of Excel, including advanced functions, data analysis, pivot tables and financial modeling

• Autonomous, well organized, detail oriented, and accurate
• Able to work under pressure and multitask ensuring the results are of highest quality and accuracy
• Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
• Familiar with aviation terminologies and flight system
• Experience overseeing preparation of financial reports
• Intuitive and thinks outside-of-the-box to provide feedback and suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies
