Job Summary

The Financial Controller is responsible for the overall financial administration of the facility, including general accounting, data processing, and financial reporting for the facility in accordance with all facility and corporate policies and procedures and applicable Federal and State regulations. This position ensures that the internal controls are adequate to safeguard the facility's assets and that the accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial administration of the facility, including general accounting, data processing, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure that internal controls are adequate to safeguard the facility's assets.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Manage the accounting systems to generate accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role in a healthcare setting.
  • A minimum education requirement of a Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.
  • A proven record of success improving the profitability of a hospital by continually monitoring costs in all areas, especially staffing as it relates to patient volume.
  • At least 5 years of experience overseeing the Business Office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met, and net revenue is properly stated.
