The Autism Specialist I role is a key part of our mission, working closely with families to provide professional support for individuals aged 6-22. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others.

Job Summary:

This is a rewarding role that requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience working with children/adults with autism and their families, as well as a valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to families through training, information, and referrals
  • Work with funding sources to plan and coordinate support services
  • Develop and track family contracts and budgets
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of autism
  • Coordinate staffing, training, and scheduling
  • Provide education and training on autism and community integration
  • Maintain liaison and coordination with other agencies
  • Support program management and development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of autism and treatments
  • Experience working with children/adults with autism and their families
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per annum

Location: Western Massachusetts, with regular travel to surrounding areas
