Job Summary:

The Anesthesia Associate will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive procedures related to the cleaning, stocking, and setup of anesthesia machines and drug carts. This role will also involve performing routine setup and simple maintenance of various diagnostic devices, including physiological monitoring equipment and pressure transducers. Additionally, the Anesthesia Associate will be responsible for routine troubleshooting procedures on a variety of physiological monitoring systems and support devices. The position will also provide support for higher-level technical functions by assisting with airway management, urgent/emergency procedures, and taking on emergency on-call and weekend coverage as assigned by the Chief Anesthesia Technician.


Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine cleaning, stocking, and setup of anesthesia machines and drug carts
• Perform routine setup and simple maintenance of diagnostic devices, including physiological monitoring equipment and pressure transducers
• Conduct routine troubleshooting procedures on physiological monitoring systems and support devices
• Assist with airway management, urgent/emergency procedures, and take on emergency on-call and weekend coverage as assigned

Requirements:
• Associates Degree in a health-related profession or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Good communication skills required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR required
• EMT/Advanced EMT may be considered

Preferred Qualifications:
• Operating room protocol experience
• Knowledge and understanding of aseptic technique
• Experience as an Anesthesia Technician/Technologist strongly preferred

Work Schedule:
Rotating Shifts, On-Call as needed, to include nights and weekends
