Job Summary

The Reimbursement Specialist II is a key member of our revenue cycle team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for medical, dental, and hospital claims. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review claims for accuracy and completeness
  • Follow up with payers to resolve denied claims and ensure timely payment
  • Identify and bill secondary payers to maximize reimbursement
  • Perform adjustments and write-offs as necessary
  • Document all analysis findings and correspondence in our online practice management system
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a medical billing department
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCs, and ICD-10 coding, as well as medical terminology
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
Working Conditions

This is a sedentary role that requires sitting and use of a computer most of the day. Occasional standing, walking, and manual dexterity may be required. The ability to work in a noisy setting and occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
