Customer Support Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Support Liaison to join our team at Benefit & Risk Management Services, Inc. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service in a call center environment, utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve client inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls using a professional greeting.
- Listen attentively to clients' issues and clarify their questions or problems.
- Provide accurate information to resolve clients' inquiries or concerns.
- Communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring clients understand the details.
- Demonstrate empathy and apply effective customer service techniques to de-escalate tense situations.
- Process routine insurance changes, such as adding dependents or changing doctors.
- Research and quote benefits accurately using relevant documents, like Summary Plan Documents.
- Investigate claims-related information.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions within the system.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure excellent attendance and punctuality, adhering to the scheduled work hours.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound call center or medical/insurance environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software.
- Prior experience in a call center environment, particularly in medical/benefits roles, is highly preferred.
- Certifications or specialized training in insurance or related fields may be advantageous.
