Director of Quality Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Director of Quality to drive excellence across all stages of product development, from cutting-edge hardware and software innovation to in-house manufacturing and assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily operations to ensure quality standards are met and exceeded.
  • Set, measure, and communicate clear objectives for the quality and trade compliance teams.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve quality issues and foster strong internal partnerships to meet organizational goals.
  • Implement strategies to minimize the cost of poor quality and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee adherence to ISO/AS certifications, contractual, and regulatory requirements with a focus on maintaining robust internal audit systems.
  • Mentor, motivate, and lead teams to cultivate a quality-driven culture.
  • Present monthly performance metrics and ensure the success of both quality and trade compliance objectives.
Requirements:
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for developing teams and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in the aerospace or defense industries and a deep understanding of Quality Management Systems.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills to interface with both senior staff and customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in science or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of specialized quality experience.
  • Management experience in a quality-focused role within manufacturing.
