Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing the daily operations of the kitchen, including establishing goals for the culinary services department and training kitchen staff on food preparation and handling.
* Create menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
* Ensure that meals are served in a timely and efficient manner.
* Promote a culture of food safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
* Participate in culinary trainings and assist in the onboarding of new hires.
Qualifications:
* Commitment to providing high-quality service and food.
* Completion of an approved food safety sanitation course or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
* Two years of experience in a cooking role.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Completion of a two-year culinary college program.
* Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
* Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
