The primary role of the Optical Services Associate is to engage and retain clientele by providing exceptional service, enhancing customer loyalty, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction among associates and practitioners.
Drive profitable sales within the store by cultivating a customer-centric culture through effective retail sales techniques, adhering to the Total Customer Experience Model.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with fellow Associates, Hosts, and Doctors.Process ophthalmic eyewear prescriptions and expertly fit and adjust lenses and frames, which includes but is not limited to the following:
Interpreting optical prescriptions in conjunction with the customer's visual needs;
Advising on specific lenses, coatings, and frames tailored to customer preferences;
Guiding customers in frame selection while coordinating with optical measurements and prescriptions;
Performing precise measurements of bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers using the appropriate tools.
Ensure quality assurance through accurate measurements, correct pricing, and realistic delivery time estimates.
Maximize Managed Vision Care relationships and sales opportunities as assessed by:
Effective plan management and local service;
Enhancements in average transaction values;
Locally initiated strategies.
Assist in the prompt execution of approved marketing initiatives by implementing marketing programs and campaigns.
Foster positive and productive relationships with Hosts through participation, support, and satisfaction, as measured by Patient Satisfaction Surveys.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Optical Manager and fellow Associates.
Job Specifications
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
If required by State:
Applicable State licensure or certification from a nationally-recognized optician association as an optician;
Proficient in sales through effective sales techniques and accountability for sales outcomes;
Experience and proven results in a retail or customer service environment;
Ability to communicate enthusiastically and concisely to meet or exceed customer expectations while fostering positive, results-oriented relationships with associates, doctors, and hosts;
Success in store merchandising and attention to detail;
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related field;
Familiarity with personal computers is preferred.
Compensation for this role is outlined below. Salary ranges may vary across different markets. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This role may also include eligible bonuses and commissions as part of the compensation package. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, please refer to the relevant resources.

$26.03.
