Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy of addresses and postage on outgoing mail and packages.
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail using postage meters, postage scales, and other mailroom equipment.
  • Maintain records of all outgoing mail.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and delivery of confidential or sensitive materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate mail-related tasks and resolve any delivery issues.
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing mailroom supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure mailing lists are sent to necessary destinations in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a mailroom or similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mailroom equipment, such as postage meters, scales, and sorting machines.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computers and basic office software, such as email and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages of various sizes and weights.
  • Knowledge of postal regulations and shipping procedures is a plus.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Education and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Occasionally required to stand.
  • Occasionally required to walk.
  • Continually required to sit.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Continually required to talk or hear.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
