Server Assistant Job Description

Upstream Brewing, a renowned brewery and restaurant in Omaha, NE, is seeking a detail-oriented Server Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist servers in resetting and cleaning tables in a timely manner.
  • Ensure tables and chairs are properly cleaned with sanitizing wipes.
  • Monitor table cleanliness and promptly bus tables when guests have finished their meals.
  • Must be able to frequently lift bus tubs and trash cans up to 40 lbs.
  • Follow daily cleaning schedule of high chairs, booster chairs, window ledges, and floors.
  • Communicate effectively with servers and host/hostess when tables are clean and set.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of special events and private parties.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attention to detail is crucial in maintaining our high standards of service.
  • Ability to work well within a team and take direction from others.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk multiple floors, lift, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
