Job Summary

The Dining Server is a vital member of our team at The Heritage at Legacy, ensuring a superior dining experience for our residents and visitors. This role involves cleaning and preparing the dining room, obtaining and recording meal orders, serving meals, clearing tables, and assisting with dining room and kitchen clean-up procedures after meals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive, inclusive culture through demonstrated behaviors that align with our Core Values of Compassion, Respect, Trust, and Fun.
  • Establish and evolve positive relationships with residents, families, associates, and regulatory agencies.
  • Clean and prepare the dining room, obtain and record meal orders, serve meals, clear tables, and assist with dining room and kitchen clean-up procedures.
  • Assist with dining room inventory and ordering of supplies.
  • Ensure dining and storage areas are organized, clean, and sanitary in accordance with cleaning schedules and requirements.

Requirements

  • Dining server experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong interest in senior living industry.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of Compassion, Trust, Respect, and Fun.

Work Environment

Work takes place primarily in a dining and kitchen environment. Work may also take place in the outdoor environment. The position may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold, latex, infections, and communicable diseases.

Physical Requirements

The incumbent must be able to assist residents with limited mobility, move equipment or materials, and lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds intermittently throughout the day.
