Sr Release Train Engineer

PamTen is seeking a highly skilled Sr Release Train Engineer to join our team in Carmel, IN. This is a contract position with potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases.
  • Portfolio, Program, and Project Support: Provide support to the Agile Release Train (ART) and ensure alignment with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
  • Business Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the ART.
  • Release and Deployment: Coordinate the release and deployment of software to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Fulfill gaps on the RTC and for the train.
Requirements:
  • Works under general direction, using discretion to identify and respond to complex issues and assignments.
  • Interacts with and influences colleagues, having working-level contact with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Performs a range of work, sometimes complex and non-routine, in a variety of environments.
  • Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution, taking the initiative in identifying and negotiating personal development opportunities.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, contributing fully to the work of teams.
  • Plans, schedules, and monitors own work (and that of others where applicable) competently within limited deadlines and according to relevant legislation, standards, and procedures.

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) plays a critical role in supporting the Agile Release Train (ART) by steering it to success and navigating the complexity of delivering software in large environments. The RTE helps resolve and escalate impediments for the train, manages risk, assures value delivery, and drives program-level continuous improvement for the entirety of the train.
