Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant

Snell & Wilmer Staff is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team in Phoenix. As a key member of our Litigation Practice Group, you will provide exceptional administrative support to attorneys specializing in litigation.

Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Manage and maintain attorneys' schedules, prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations, and assist with case preparation.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents, prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, and maintain and update case files.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in litigation, handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, and prepare and distribute correspondence, memoranda, and reports.
  • Court and Filing Procedures: Prepare and ensure timely filing of legal documents with the court and monitor and track deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a legal administrative assistant or in a similar administrative role within a litigation environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Arizona court procedures, including state, federal, and appellate levels, with a strong emphasis on e-filing procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal terminology, procedures, and documentation, exceptional proofreading and editing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, showing reliability and the capacity to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
