Marin Community Clinics, a leading healthcare provider, seeks a skilled Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to over 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County.
Our mission is to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all. The Medical Scribe will play a vital role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of our patient care by accurately documenting patient information in our electronic health record (EHR).
Responsibilities- Assist providers with documentation of patient visits, including recording symptoms, history, physical exams, and treatment plans.
- Transcribe and place patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, referrals, and other evaluations.
- Document procedures performed by providers or nurses in the EHR.
- Transcribe consultations or discussions with family and/or providers.
- Complete patient charts by transcribing results of labs, x-rays, or other evaluations.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Records preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to use a computer and work with electronic health records.
