The Supervisor will ensure that all operational activities are executed with precision, maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency. This role is essential for guaranteeing that our hatchery meets both industry benchmarks and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute procedures on turkey poults utilizing approved methodologies and equipment.
- Assist in the logistics of loading and unloading turkey poults within designated hatchery zones.
- Operate automated processing and sorting machinery, including MPSP and PSP systems, as well as conveyor systems.
- Report any irregularities or concerns to the Hatchery Manager as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and biosecurity measures.
- Support the training and development of staff, providing guidance to Service Room personnel.
- Collaborate with management to ensure that daily operations meet industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a hatchery environment is advantageous.
- Understanding of turkey egg and poult handling techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with biosecurity regulations and industry standards is beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow established protocols for hatchery operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Experience in managing and motivating a diverse team.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
Work Schedule:
- Standard working hours: 48-hour work weeks from 6 AM until completion of daily tasks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
