SCHEDULE: FRI-SUN (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

This role is a full-time permanent position within a manufacturing setting. The individual will be instrumental in the production of charitable and lottery Pull-Tabs.

The position entails overseeing the activities of the finishing department Operators and Helpers, ensuring that product quality meets established standards. A significant emphasis will be placed on enhancing the efficiency of each machine center. The role will also require acquiring knowledge of each machine's operation and stepping in as necessary. Proficiency in troubleshooting is essential.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Guide the machine operators and teams under the supervision of the shift supervisor.
  • Assist operators with resolving machine-related issues and operate machinery when required.
  • Train new employees on safe equipment operation and routine maintenance requirements.
  • Support the shift trainer in ensuring that staff comprehend job expectations.
  • Identify and address quality concerns related to machine operations.
  • Review production schedules and recommend efficient modifications as needed.
  • Follow job ticket instructions diligently.
  • Manage consumable supply inventory and report shortages.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Exhibit safe working practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as determined by department management (e.g., maintenance, lead operator in a packaging, printing, or label production environment).
  • Technical training relevant to the responsibilities.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Experience in overseeing multiple functional areas within a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in managing manufacturing, quality control, scheduling, and overall performance.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate information relevant to the position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Skill in prioritizing tasks, maintaining schedules, and following up to meet deadlines.
  • Aptitude for learning new software applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a diverse workplace.
