Job Title: Senior Paralegal II - Litigation Specialist

Microchip Technology Incorporated is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal II - Litigation Specialist to support its litigation team on e-discovery and litigation matters. The successful candidate will have at least ten years' experience in litigation and e-discovery, with strong attention to detail and ability to organize and manage multiple schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of e-discovery, including legal holds, document collection, document searches, document review, and document production;
  • Organize and maintain legal files for litigation and other matters;
  • Maintain internal calendar of deadlines for pending litigation and third-party discovery matters;
  • Assist counsel in preparation and submission of pleadings, briefs, exhibits, and other legal documents;
  • Monitor expenses under direction of counsel;
  • Review invoices from outside attorneys, adjusters, and third-party vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance with guidelines;
  • Conduct various document searches and factual research;
  • Assist in gathering information and documents from Company personnel necessary to respond to document requests and subpoenas;
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual litigation updates for management and auditors under direction of counsel;
  • Process certain emails and requests that come to the Legal Department email inbox;
  • Review and track incoming correspondence from outside counsel;
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as situations dictate;
  • Coordinate with IP paralegals and admins;
  • Perform other duties at the discretion of Microchip's General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel - IP & Litigation.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • At least ten years' experience in litigation and e-discovery, with both law firm and in-house experience preferred;
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) and/or paralegal certificate;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Experience with organization of legal files for litigation and e-discovery matters;
  • Organized and able to prioritize numerous tasks to meet deadlines with time constraints;
  • Prepared to write and proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, and typographical errors;
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of attorneys, staff, and employees;
  • Improvement and process-oriented;
  • Work well in a collaborative team environment.
Mandatory Computer Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Strong experience with e-discovery software (DISCO e-discovery platform preferred);
  • Strong experience with secure file transfer systems;
  • Experience with electronic signature process and software.

This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
