Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Protection and Control Systems Engineer to join our team at LaBella Associates. As a key member of our Building Engineering Division, you will be responsible for designing and implementing protection and control systems for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects.

Your expertise will be essential in developing project scope, identifying problems, and proposing solutions. You will work closely with clients to ensure that their protection and control systems meet their specific needs and comply with industry standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects, work with a talented team, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement protection and control systems for electrical transmission and distribution substations
  • Develop project scope, identify problems, and propose solutions
  • Work with clients to ensure that their protection and control systems meet their specific needs and comply with industry standards
  • Aid in commissioning as needed pertaining to system startups and functional checks
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 5 or more years of experience in protection and control system design, cost estimating, and bidding document preparation
  • PE license from a US State desired but not required
  • Successful track record designing protection and control systems
  • Knowledge of IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards
  • Experience with telecommunications, protective relaying, and automation (SCADA)
