We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at MacLean-Fogg. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex electrical maintenance on plant equipment, diagnosing and repairing electrical breakdowns, and utilizing hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to repair and maintain electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine and complex electrical maintenance on plant equipment, including diagnosing and repairing electrical breakdowns related to machinery, utility services, and building infrastructure.
- Tool & Part Specification: Identify and specify necessary electrical tools, parts, and spare stock to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to repair and maintain electrical systems according to diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
- Documentation & Standards: Accurately complete all necessary documentation and adhere to 5S standards to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical systems, assembly, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot Programmable Logic programs, work hands-on with any project, and demonstrate strong fundamental knowledge of PLC's (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and related controls and electrical system design and its application in automated machine tool systems.
- Skills: Ability to interpret work instructions, follow written and verbal directions, and communicate effectively. Must demonstrate manual dexterity and physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
