Job Summary

As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Texas Tech University, you will play a vital role in providing primary care to neonatal patients in an ambulatory setting. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to neonatal patients, including physical assessment, patient education, and counseling.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in teaching programs for students and other healthcare professionals to promote excellence in patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN license in the State of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate nursing specialty from an approved certification program as recognized by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in intensive care and as an RN or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
