About the Job

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Brunswick Job Corps Center. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping young individuals overcome substance abuse challenges and build a brighter future.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling sessions to assess and address the unique needs of students facing substance abuse challenges.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions to create a supportive community for students in the TEAP program.
  • Develop and implement educational workshops on substance abuse prevention, relapse prevention, and life skills.
  • Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations.
  • Collaborate with external substance abuse treatment providers, mental health professionals, and community resources to ensure a continuum of care for students transitioning beyond the Job Corps program.
