Primary Care Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team at VillageMD in Houston, TX. As a member of our primary care network, you will be part of a compassionate community of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing high-quality, connected care services to patients.
About the Role:
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care as a Primary Care Physician Assistant in our Memorial Clinical Associates practice. This role involves working autonomously to provide comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessments, conducting treatments, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to adult patients, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and chronic disease management;
- Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as needed;
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and streamline clinical processes.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Advanced Practice program;
- At least 2 years of outpatient clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider;
- Unrestricted licensure in practicing state or eligibility for licensure;
- Active DEA registration or eligibility;
- Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility;
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS);
- Strong communication skills and comfort with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
