Job Title: Security Installation Technician I

Job Summary:

Allied Universal is seeking a skilled Security Installation Technician I to join our team. As a Security Installation Technician I, you will be responsible for installing and testing electronic control systems, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, and fire alarm systems. You will work under the direction of an Installation Technician III or Project Manager to complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations, ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

* Run electrical wiring in crawl spaces, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
* Connect field devices and conceal wires
* Test new system installations to ensure they are functioning properly and meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes and licensing requirements
* Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean-up
* Overnight travel may be required on an as-need basis

Qualifications:

* High School Degree, Vocational School, or equivalent required
* 0-2 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry installing field devices
* Military veterans encouraged to apply
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
* Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Detail-oriented and organized
* Ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic., etc.)
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
* Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
