Computer Science Internship Opportunity

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Computer Science Intern to join their Code Academy team in Davidson & Williamson Counties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth and technology, with a strong interest in coding concepts and app design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach coding concepts and app design to students at Code Academy
  • Develop and implement daily engaging activities on virtual platforms
  • Identify a need within the program and develop a project as a solution

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children and/or youth
  • Interest in or understanding of coding concepts and app design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or certification preferred, or working toward degree in related field
  • Previous coding experience and teaching others about coding

Working Conditions:

Hours range from 15 to 25 hours per week depending on availability and program needs.
