Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at TRS Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for executing and fulfilling the material requirements plan, updating our ERP system with the latest supplier/product data, and daily communication with suppliers.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with each department to support the business and ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and consolidate material requirements and drawings from our ERP system
  • Communicate and follow up with suppliers relating to pricing, lead times, order acknowledgements, shipping dates, status updates, shipping documentation, and material certificates
  • Promptly update our ERP system with lead times
  • Create and issue purchase orders to approved suppliers
  • Promptly execute and respond to part availability inquiries
  • Update in-transit tracker information
  • Provide weekly status reports to your supervisor
  • Create receivers for all incoming parts
  • Order MRO supplies to support the business
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three (3)+ years of experience in an ISO 9001 environment
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong understanding of bills of material and drawings (preferred)
