Job Overview

Position Summary: The Buyer plays a crucial role in ensuring that the facility is equipped with the necessary materials at optimal pricing, delivered timely, and in the correct quantities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure both direct and indirect materials essential for operations.
  • Ensure inventory precision through regular cycle counts and efficient receiving processes.
  • Verify the accuracy of components allocated to work orders.
  • Address and document material quality concerns through the SCAR process.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and present findings.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics to coordinate material delivery schedules.
  • Engage in daily production meetings on the shop floor.
  • Support team objectives by achieving related outcomes as necessary.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required by management.
  • Adhere to Mobility Works' Core Values consistently.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Successful candidates will undergo background checks.

Required Skills:

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Proficient in procurement software and systems.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis.
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
