Job Summary

The Center For Discovery is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our multidisciplinary team providing treatment services for individuals struggling with eating disorders. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all orders from physicians/psychiatrists are carried out and communicate client information promptly and clearly to the treatment team.
  • Implement and follow the Nursing Care Plan to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Dispense medication as prescribed and maintain accurate records.
  • Count narcotics daily, log appropriately, and perform primary first aid as needed.
  • Conduct vital signs and weekly blood draws, as applicable.
  • Maintain NG tubes and complete waived tests for glucose monitoring, UA, drug screens, and pregnancy.
  • Ensure timely ordering and availability of medications for clients.
  • Manage client medical needs, including scheduling appointments and completing referrals/prior authorizations for medical treatments and tests.

Requirements

  • Completion of a LVN/LPN program or equivalent.
  • Holds a current LVN/LPN license in good standing or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in mental health or eating disorders preferred.
  • Blood draw certificate preferred.
