We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and organize operating rooms, selecting and passing instruments as directed by the surgeon.
- Assist with patient care during and after surgery, including providing proper retraction of tissue and applying surgical dressings.
- Recognize and respond to acute emergency situations, following established procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
- Restock surgical supplies, assist with inventory management, and participate in education and in-services as requested.
- One year of operating room or military equivalent experience in a scrub role within the last two years or recent completion of an operating room training program.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate within six months of hire from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to scrub all types of surgical cases except open heart.
