Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op to join our Powertrain Analysis team at the BMW Group. As a Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and develop your skills in powertrain analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the analysis and troubleshooting of powertrain mechanical and electrical components and systems.
  • Assist in planning and preparation of vehicles or components for customer-based function testing.
  • Support powertrain specific testing plans and activities on vehicles, systems, and components.
  • Document results from testing activities and summarize findings.
  • Analyze vehicle and project data, create processes or tools, and perform basic programming.
  • Optimize test planning specific to vehicle configuration and vehicle booking with engineers.
  • Use data analytics and PowerBI to analyze powertrain specific topics regarding customer function.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Graduate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems/Industrial, Computer).
  • Useful skills: Python or other programming languages, file management, presentation skills.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Must commit to three co-op rotations.
  • Able to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
