Restaurant Manager Job Description

At Evergreen Restaurant Group, we're looking for a skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our Italian Restaurant Group, a franchisee of Outback Steakhouse. As a Restaurant Manager, you'll be responsible for the daily operations of the FOH/BOH functions in a restaurant, including appearance, food and liquor cost, presentation, customer experience, and professional leadership and direction to employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with staffing levels and determine which staff are assigned to each shift.
  • Manage all employees to maintain high employment quality standards consistent with the brand, including hiring, development, counseling, promotion, discipline, and termination as appropriate.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire employees to staff your restaurant.
  • Champion our development paths for all employees to reach their career goals.
  • Enforce safety and sanitary practices and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  • Act as a member of the management team.
  • Respond to guest comments and educate and empower other employees to act in a similar capacity.
  • Set excellent customer service and work examples.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the entire menu and preparation.
  • Engage in community and market-related opportunities at the restaurant.
Requirements:
  • One (1) year previous restaurant management experience.
  • Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Minimum age 21 years.
Preferred Requirements:
  • One (1) year previous experience in full service (including bar) restaurant management.
  • Certification in food safety.
  • Willingness to relocate within the assigned region.
  • Computer skills.
