Advanced Practice Provider - General Cardiology

Opportunity Highlights

  • 4 days of 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • 1 weekend shift per month from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Responsibilities include hospital coverage and outpatient care
  • The selected candidate will be part of the largest multidisciplinary cardiovascular team in the tri-county area

Position Summary:

This role focuses on enhancing the quality of advanced practice through specialized patient care, leadership, consultation, education, and research. The provider will work towards improving patient care processes and ensuring high standards of care by collaborating with physicians, care managers, social workers, patient care coordinators, therapists, and other community agencies as necessary.

Required Education:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program (MPAS preferred) or a Master's Degree in Nursing with completion of an Advanced Practice program in the relevant specialty and national certification as CNP, CNM, or CNS.

Required Experience & Training:

  • Current licensure to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse or physician assistant in Ohio.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as an advanced practice provider is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required.

  • Strong communication, organizational, self-motivation, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret medical documents commonly found in clinical settings.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and managing various situations with limited standardization.
  • Capable of providing necessary care to adult patients as required by the position.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains hospital privileges as an Allied Health Professional when practicing in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of patients and healthcare team members.
  • Population-specific competency to interact effectively with diverse patient populations while respecting their dignity.

Physical Demands:

  • Heavy lifting requirements: occasionally exerting force of up to 50 pounds, frequently exerting force of 25-50 pounds, and continuously exerting force of 10-20 pounds.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, and other hazardous conditions typical in a clinical environment.
  • Requires full range of motion, including patient handling and manual dexterity.

Compensation:

$49.42/hr - $66.19/hr

The salary range listed is the base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials. Various factors, including years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting pay rate. We prioritize pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when making offers. Please note that the listed range represents the full base salary range, and hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
