Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our multidisciplinary cardiovascular team at our Akron Campus.

Key Highlights

  • 4 10-hour days, 7:00a-5:30p
  • 1 weekend shift per month, 7:00a-1:00p
  • Responsibilities include hospital coverage and office patients
  • Join the largest cardiovascular team in the tri-county region
  • Full-time benefit eligibility

Job Summary

Develops and advances the quality of advanced practice through specialized direct patient care, leadership, consultation, education, and research. Ensures quality of patient care by utilizing established standards of care and coordinating services with physicians, care managers, social workers, patient care coordinators, therapists, and other community agencies as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program, MPAS preferred, and national certification examination administered by the National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants
  • Masters Degree in Nursing with completion of Advanced Practice program in area of expertise and National certification as CNP, CNM, or CNS
  • Current license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse or physician assistant in the state of Ohio
  • Minimum one year experience as advanced practice provider preferred
  • BLS certification

  • Excellent skills in communication, organizing, self-motivation, accuracy, and time management
  • Ability to read and interpret medical documents
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to provide necessary care of adult patients
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Maintains affiliated hospital privileges as an Allied Health Professional if practicing in hospital setting
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals
  • Demonstrates flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of patients and health care team members

Compensation

$49.42/hr - $66.19/hr

The salary range on this job posting is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
