OVERVIEW:

The Laundry Operations Supervisor is accountable for managing the operational requirements of the laundry facility. This role involves overseeing processes and workflows to ensure optimal productivity and quality standards are met. The supervisor will monitor team performance, coordinate staff assignments, and identify areas for improvement while ensuring that production goals are achieved.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embody and promote the vision and mission of the Meruelo Group.
  • Effectively manage resources, personnel, and quality control to ensure successful operations.
  • Assess production needs to align with hotel demands, organizing tasks and staffing to maintain efficiency.
  • Lead the training and development of team members to ensure high-quality linen production.
  • Address equipment malfunctions promptly, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and manage staff requests, including time off and training needs.
  • Ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Resolve supply shortages and quality concerns, communicating issues to management as necessary.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance audits on commercial laundry equipment, interpreting technical manuals as needed.
  • Assist in various operational tasks as required.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external clients to deliver exceptional service.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail.
  • Physically manage materials weighing up to 50 pounds and navigate various physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Work flexible hours to meet the operational needs of the facility.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
