Job Title: Janitorial Supervisor

Join Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence as a Janitorial Supervisor and take on a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our janitorial crew. As a Janitorial Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of janitorial staff
  • Maintain quality cleaning standards and ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained
  • Operate and maintain high and low-speed maintenance equipment, as well as carpet cleaning equipment
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal
  • Monitor the use of equipment and report any malfunctions or problems to the Contracts Manager
  • Practice safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
  • Experience in janitorial work and supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to move up and down stairs without difficulty
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read and identify MSD sheets and various chemical labels and markings
  • Ability to provide own transportation to work
Work Environment:

This position operates in all areas of the Jefferson County Office Building, Human Services Building, and Old Courthouse.
